Chapter 4: Under England’s Care-part 2: The Dream

It was dark and you could only slightly remember the details of your traumatic experience as you fell in and out of a cold sleep. But something just didn’t feel like it should have. Snapping open your eyes you saw a world that just didn’t seem real, there were giant broccoli forests and mushroom houses. The sky was a dark shade of Emerald green as the moon in the sky reflected a lime-ish green hue onto the grassy knolls of the broccoli woodland. You were indeed flabbergasted, but at the same time felt like it was completely normal to see all of this in everyday life.

You were wandering the streets of the mushroom town and saw that the lamps were little fireflies in crystal balls that created a shimmering glassy look upon the roads and buildings. The people were dressed in fancy dresses and suits and they looked like they were part rabbit or something from the look of their long and oddly floppy ears that extended either up or down from their hair. They had fluffy cotton tails as well, but aside from that nothing much else. A beautiful melody was being played on a street by a small orchestra of violinists, the bakery seemed to still be open; as you walked by the smell of fresh bread and sweets filed your nose. Walking further down the road, you spotted a magician entertaining a crowd with odd magic that let out puffs of red smoke every now and again. You walked by restaurants filled with lovely music and toy shops that had looked like they were heavily decorated for the merry holiday of Christmas time. Continuing your stroll you found yourself in front of a library with a lush garden of foreign flowers and brush. It was lit up by the same fire flies that littered the streets in town and glowed with a soft hue of amethyst.

Opening the giant double doors of the library, you peeked your head inside and looked around. It was dark, but lit up with the warm hue of candle light by night appearance. Welcoming yourself inside you wandered through the vast shelves of books and made your way to the lobby, where another rabbit person sat with a black top hat slid over their face to indicate that they were resting.

You walked past them silently and made your way across and up the spiral staircase of dark polished wood. There on the third floor you could see a view of the entire library with all of its twists and turns, shelves of books, and lavish walls decorated with carvings and paintings of the odd yet mysterious world at which you were now at.
Turning a corner you found yourself at a door with a strange looking key still in the lock. You hesitated at first but then took the knob slowly and turned it, revealing a new room with nothing but absolute darkness within it. But oddly enough, you didn’t fear the darkness and instead wandered into the room, having it close shut behind you.
Everything was silent at first, but then as you opened your eyes the darkness that was once there had completely vanished, leaving behind only you alone in a large field of long grass and hills that stretched for miles on end.

The sky was a lovely sky blue and the clouds floated by untethered by soft winds that caressed your cheek as it blew by. The sun’s warm glow filled the land with life as you watched butterflies go from one flower to the next and rabbit families roam the grassy knolls of the plains. Looking out into the distance you saw someone staring out into the distance back at you, it was a small child, a chibi, and he wore a long forest green cloak or mantle which lined his feet. In his arms was a small little rabbit, he held it close to him protectively as soon as he’d noticed you watching him.
The image reminded you of when you were younger, a chibi, and had held little creatures close to you protectively around others.

Walking up to the little boy, you stood tall before him and stared down at him. He was unfazed as he turned slightly to his side, hiding away the rabbit. “Wha…what’s your name?” you asked the young boy, just realizing that he was a rabbit-person as well from the floppy ears and fluffy tail that poked out of his mantle.

The boy stared at you for a moment before turning back around, his blonde hair was smooth yet un-kept and his eyebrows were indeed on the fuzzy side, but it wasn’t anything to be offended by. And yet his eyes were a beautiful shade of emerald green. “I’m ~~~~~ ~~~~~~.” The boy said curtly to you, but you couldn’t quite get his name, “W-what was it?” you asked again, a sweat drop rolled down your cheek in embarrassment. The boy looked at you with a questioning look before repeating himself again, but once again you couldn’t quite hear the name, “U-uhhh..I’m sorry…I-I couldn’t get that…” This time the boy’s eyes grew wide and nearly white as his face glowed red from frustration, “Bloody hell, lady! Are you even listening to a thing I’m telling you?!” You scratched the back of your head and apologized to the ranting boy in front of you, but he just sighed and glared at you, “Okay, I’ll tell you just one more time, but first I want to make something clear.” “Clear..?” you looked at him confused. The boy just nodded and pointed at you, “Can you hear me?” All of a sudden his squeaky little child-like voice disappeared and was instead replaced by a much older and mature sounding voice. Your eyes widened and grew white at the freaky surprise that had come out of nowhere. So you asked him to say it again, just so you’d know that you weren’t hearing things. The boy sighed and then repeated himself, “Can you hear me, _______?!”
This time you seriously freaked. One, because it was the same masculine voice you heard just before, and two, this boy knew your name!

But suddenly without warning the boy kept calling out to you more and more, until all you saw was darkness and the little chibi boy spinning round and round in your head as you kept hearing him call out to you, then finally,

“______! Can you hear me?!”

Slap Slap--- you slowly start to open your eyes and immediately see the same beautiful green eyes staring down into your [color] ones.
Feeling the light headedness disappear into nothingness you look around the room of the gently rocking ship…
“…It was just a dream,”
