Chapter 3: How to Say I Love You

“I’ve missssed you my little poppet~ and now I finally have you back, love…”

His hand caressed the side of your face as you stared in shock at him, his thumb rubbing gentle circles onto your cheek,

“…And thissss time…I’ll never let you go.”

With that he pressed his soft lips to yours and held your face gently firm against his, refusing to break away.

You blinked stunned and not yet quite grasping what was happening until you felt him shift his lips, pressing them harder against yours. You immediately started pushing him away but he refused and instead held you closer to him; feeling that your lungs were about to burst from the lack of oxygen you were getting you fidgeted and pushed at him harder until he finally gave in and removed his lips from your own. Gasping at the intensely needed air you calmed your breathing then shot him a glare that stung like daggers, “What the hell did you think you were doing?!” you growled lowly and rubbed harshly at your mouth. His swirled eyes met yours and he grinned his crazed smile once more at you, “Sssuch a sssilly question, poppet! Why, I was kisssssing you of course!!?” he sang with a light blush powdered across his cheeks. You stared dumbfounded at him, feeling your temper begin to flare,

“Y—You moron! I know that!—I meant why the flipp’n hell did you!?” you screeched, your face reddened from having to scream clearly pissed as hell, the only other person-thingy you knew who could rile you up like that was Alfred. The creature just stared at you with a blank yet creepy look to him since that freaky-deeky grin was still plastered across his face. Then without warning he brought his face close to yours, noses nearly touching, and a dark glint came into his eyes, “Tut-tut-tut, poppet~ No ssswearing~…” he brought his head back and continued to grin, “It’sss not lady like.~”

You frowned at his words, a slight puff going into your cheeks, ‘How dare he call me unlady like. That asshat’s the one who needs to learn how to be a gentleman—Fruit bat!’ you folded your arms and looked away from him, “Whatever…where’re you taken me anyway?”

The man-snake thing pouted a bit at your cold tone but answered nonetheless, “I’m taking you to my home, poppet.~ There, I can treat that nasssty boo-boo and then we can have sssome lovely tea!~” he chirped happily raising you up and squeezing you tight. You felt your breath get stuck as he pressed your side against him, squishing you between his arms and his chest. Then without another word slithered off, bringing you with him deep into the thick woodland and completely lost to your campsite where your friends and big brother were.


Alfred’s POV-----------

I searched around for _______, she’d been gone for hours beyond hours and I was quickly starting to get worried. Just as I was about to take off after her into the woods, ________’s friend, [friend’s name] called for me,
“Hey, u-umm, Al, Do you want to go get a bite with me? I brought some burgers along, w-we could maybe cook some up! H-how does that sound?~”

I immediately halted mid-step and quickly jumped to her side, “Oh—DUDE! THAT’S LIKE SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!!” She smiled at me and dragged me along to the cooler. ‘I guess ________ could wait a little longer, right? Hahahahahaha!!!’ I waited patiently as [friend’s name] took out the beef burgers and tofu burgers ready to grill and I couldn’t help but drool as I watched her put them onto the skillet and began cooking them over the bonfire. They just smelt sooo good!...Uh, well except those—


Oliver’s POV---------

I couldn’t help but glance at her every now and then, she was just ssssooooo CUTE!!! Oh how she reminded me of ________~ Well, sure~ their personalities were way off! ________ was always sssooo cheerful and happy all the time, while she’s just……I don’t know.

I snuck a peek at her once more, but as I looked down this time I noticed that she’d fallen asleep somewhere along the way. I suddenly found myself smiling dearly towards her, she was just sssooo, dear, sssooo, darling~ sssoooo…mine.

I pecked her forehead, mesmerized by the familiar and nurturing scent, oh, how it calmed me ssso~ I had been ssso lost in thought that I hadn’t realized that we’d arrived. ‘Oh, home sweet home!~’ I slithered inside and placed her onto my large soft and comfy bed. As I laid her down I grimaced at the nasty wound that inflicted her leg. It made my blood bubble, and my breath was caught. Leaning closer I stared hungrily at the flowing blood, it was just sssoo tempting, but I pushed myself back. I couldn’t hurt her, I refused to harm her… Yesss…Not even the ever sssoo delicious scent of her blood was going to sway me!~

I grinned my favorite toothy grin to myself and went over to the drawers. Pulling out a small first aid kit, I made my way back on over to the dear, I took in one last look at her sleeping face and choked… I couldn’t hold it in anymore, she just looked sssoo much like my wonderful _______! As a few stray tears fell down the flushed and freckled patches of skin that were my cheeks I buried my face into my hands, sobbing quietly as to not awaken the poor dear…I was just sssooo HAPPY!!!


Regular POV---------

You lightly sighed as your eyes fluttered open; refusing to move for a while at the ache that was attacking your leg you just laid there, and let your eyes adjust to the bright blue of the sky that was outside. ‘Wait…bright blue?’ you quickly pulled yourself up, ignoring the sudden flinch of pain, and stared with wide eyes at the fairly cloudless sky. ‘I’m still in England, right?...right?!’ your thoughts slowly start to panic as you thought, but then as you turned away from the window you nearly screamed from the unbearable splashes of bright colors that you were encased in. It was a Victorian styled room, but everything from the walls to the furniture and décor were either a girly pinkish blasphemy or an eye blinding neonish blue and purple. It just killed you to be entrapped in such a fearsome room. And before you knew it you found yourself clawing at the wall to try and get out, well, you were until a certain twinge of pain ran up your leg again causing you to halt in your “mild” panic attack and examine your throbbing leg.

But as you gazed down you closed your eyes, not wanting to see the nasty and by now probably infected gash that was your wound, you thought that if you saw it, it would probably cause you to feel more pain than there really was, but taking a look at the wound you noticed that it had been bandaged up quite nicely actually.

You blinked some in confusion and touched the bandage that was wrapped snuggly around your leg, you flinched lightly at the sudden tickle of pain but it quickly went away. “I’m guessing…he tended to it or something…huh…” you whispered to yourself, but before you could crawl out of bed you heard a click and the door started to open, revealing the manic man-snake thing from before.

Slithering in he placed a tray of what looked like cupcakes, frosting and all, on to a pink desk that was away from the bed. You didn’t know whether you should try to grab his attention or not, but that all was thrown out the window when he slowly spun around and saw you looking at him. “Poppet!~ Dear love~ You’re awake, how are you feeling? Are you too hot? Oh! Maybe cold?~ Are you hungry, love?!~” His sudden bombard of questions caught you off guard as you cautiously watched him slither up to you till he was clearly invading what was left of your personal bubble.

“…U-…Uhh..m’fine…” you squeaked out and turned away from the overly affectionate man-snake thing. “Well that’ssss good, poppet.~” he grinned, leaning down closer so that he could take a look at your bandaged wound. You started to feel a bit nerved when he continued to pick at your bandage, but did nothing about it, as long as he didn’t—“E-eep!” you squeaked breathlessly at the sudden sharp pain that ran up your leg. The man-snake thing had prodded at your wound a bit too eagerly and wound up “accidentally” reopening your gash, leaving only a stinging warm sensation to pulse at your leg. Let’s just say it wasn’t pleasant~

At hearing your sudden cry the man-snake thing ripped himself away from your leg and wrapped you in his arms, snuggling his cheek against yours and whispering soothing words to ease your plight. ‘Ugh~ NO! I hate hugs!’ you shouted in your head as you glared with wide eyes at his sentimental approach. “U-uh, I-I really don’t think I need a hug here, pal…p-..plus! I still have to get back home too, so…” you spat as you tried your best to pry yourself away without causing the creature any harm.

“B-but, Poppeeeeeettt~” he whined, “You need to let me nurssse you back to health!~ Ssso you ssshould just rely on me, love!~…that way you’ll get all better~” he swayed softly, his tail seemingly dancing along as he slithered around you to pick up a cupcake and bringing it over to you he leaned close once more.

“Now, my dear love~…won’t you have a bite? And all the pain will go away!~”

He inched closer to you, his poisoness breath warm against your neck,

“……I, crosssss my heart and hope to fly!~”

You shivered subconsciously at the feel of his warm breath against your neck, you never were comfortable with it, especially since your Big Brother would always tease you by doing that. But that was neither here nor there, so once again bringing your attention back to the man-snake thing in front of you, you eyed the delicate little cupcake in his hand. You could feel yourself gulp at the mere thought of it, you loved, no, adored cupcakes; despite your tough exterior, you still loved the soft little treat, but the hell you would ever show it! But were you seriously willing to take a mysterious treat from a complete stranger? And an weird half man-half snake creature stranger too! Just then another sharp pang hit your leg, nearly toppling you forward and gripping at your throbbing injury. ‘...But, i-if would really help…’

Sighing quietly in defeat you nodded and lifted your palm to receive the sweet treat, “….here…” you simply stated. The man-snake thing giggled joyfully at your cooperation, then placing the cupcake lightly in your hand he held his hands, entwining his fingers as he eagerly as he waited.

You took one last glance at the treat, then wearily bringing it up to your lips you subtly nibbled at the frosting. It tasted normal…no, it tasted way better than just that, it was unbelievable~ Then quickly you took timid bites into the cake part itself. It was by that point that you felt like you were floating, it was clearly the weirdest thing you’d ever felt in your life, but you didn’t mind it. It was only when you’d gone in for another bite that you’d realized that it was all gone and whining quietly to yourself you tried to recall having eaten the rest. However, what had really caught your attention was the fact that your body was starting to go numb and limp. You frowned as you felt your eyes slowly grow heavy, but as you fought against this sudden drain of energy you realized something that hadn’t left since finishing your cupcake.
Yes, you still felt like you were floating…

Forcing your eyes to stay open, you realized that to your disbelief you were actually being elevated in the air by the man-snake’s tail, his face only inches from your own as you hovered over him. “Oh, my dear, sssweet and loving poppet~” he giggled, a tint of pink flushed his freckled cheeks as he raised his hands, cupping your cheeks in his warm palms. His baby blue eyes had now started to swirl as he rubbed your cheeks gingerly with his thumbs.

“Now…You’ll alwaysss be MINE!~”

He unhinged his jaw and brought your head closer to his mouth, engulfing it in one go. You stared frozen and motionless as you tried to register what was going on, then as if a bolt of lightning had struck, it clicked. ‘H-He’s…! He’s going to EAT me!!!?’ your thoughts screamed in your head and now fully panicked you forced all what was left of your sweet-drugged body to struggle against his hold, however it was verily futile as you felt yourself get wedged in even further down his throat; only your legs left to be free.
You cried and swore, your body quickly becoming flustered by the sticky liquid that encased you, and the walls of his insides felt as if they were giving you those unwanted hugs and even more unwanted kisses. And it didn’t help that every time you’d move you could hear his muffled moans of apparently pleasure leak out of his throat. It only sent goose bumps down your skin. Finally after one sudden gulp you felt yourself completely become encased within his warm and wet chambers. You had now started to pant as you’d used up an extensive amount of energy struggling, and now you were completely zapped of any strength.

You hated to admit it, but he was incredibly comfy inside…it seriously disturbed you that you thought that way, but you couldn’t help it. Your eyes began to droop even more as your breathing slowed to a calm motion. Suddenly you felt a slight pressure rub at you from outside the walls.

“Poppet?~…..”

You heard the man-snake thing call out to you from outside. You could only grunt in response. His petting growing softer and warmer as it moved in a gentle and adoring motion.

“Poppet~ …D-…do…d-do you…l-l-love me?” he asked, a strong hint of timid bashfulness heard in his voice.

Your now barely open eyes could hardly keep your own mind straight, so thinking with what little time you had left you asked,

“…W-…who a-..are you?....” Sleep slurred your voice.

A gently sigh of content is heard from the creature, and then just before your eyes completely closed he whispered,

“…My name is Oliver, love~………and I love you~”
